Join us as we delve into this fascinating title: After the Grizzly: Endangered Species and the Politics of Place in California by Peter S. Alagona
“Thoroughly researched and finely crafted, After the Grizzly traces the history of endangered species and habitat in California, from the time of the Gold Rush to the present. Peter S. Alagona shows how scientists and conservationists came to view the fates of endangered species as inextricable from ecological conditions and human activities in the places where those species lived.”
A limited number of books will be available for participants to borrow from the Museum. In addition, you may request a copy from your local Mendocino County Library branch.
Book group meetings will continue to be held virtually to connect with members throughout the county. For questions or to register please email museum@mendocinocounty.org or call (707)459-2736.
