Veteran's Day Virtual Appreciation

November 9, 2020 - November 11, 2020

This year the Mendocino County Museum Veteran's Day celebration is going digital! All our programs will be accessible via the Mendocino County Museum Facebook page.

Our program will start on Monday, November 9th with a special message from former Sherriff, Tom Allman.

Tuesday we will be sharing a recent donation of military medals and ribbons from retired U.S. Army Major Dennis Miner. See our Education Spotlight to find out the meaning behind the medals.

On Wednesday, November 11, Supervisor John Haschak will begin our day with a Veterans Day message. Additional expressions from the community will follow. We invite everyone to join in by posting their appreciation for our veterans and tagging the Mendocino County Museum on Facebook. We will also be premiering our first digital genealogy program on researching military records with Benjamin MacBean.
